1. Information we collect

Account and profile: your email address, display name, handle, home city, skill level, preferred Mahjong styles, and any profile photo or bio you add.

Content you create: posts, messages, venue and event details, ratings, and photos you upload.

Location: an approximate location by default; a more precise location only when you choose to share it (for example, to set a venue or find games nearby).

Device and usage: a push-notification token (if you allow notifications), and basic device and usage information used to run, secure, and improve the app.

2. How we use your information

To run the app and connect you with games, venues, teachers, and other players.

To send you service and transactional messages (such as sign-in codes, requests, approvals, and confirmations), and messages about events you have signed up for and venues or teachers you interact with.

To send you promotional messages and announcements about Luv Mahjong and its features (you can opt out of these — see "Your choices").

For safety and moderation, including automated and AI-based review of content before it is shown publicly.

To understand, maintain, and improve the app, and to develop new features.

3. Location

To protect your privacy, location is shared approximately by default. Your exact location is only revealed after a relevant join, booking, or enquiry has been approved.

4. Automated moderation

To keep the community safe and on-topic, content such as posts, messages, profiles, and photos may be checked automatically — including by artificial intelligence — before it becomes publicly visible.

5. How we share information

With service providers that help us run the app (for example, cloud hosting and database, push-notification delivery, maps and address search, and automated content moderation), only as needed to provide the service.

Publicly: content you choose to make public — such as a public profile, a public venue or teacher listing, or a community post — may be visible to others in the app and on our public web pages and in search engines.

For legal and safety reasons, or in connection with a transfer of the app or business.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Future paid features, payments, and shop

The app is free today, but we may introduce paid features, subscriptions, fees, ticketing, in-app purchases, or an in-app shop in the future. If we do, additional information (for example, details needed to process a payment or fulfil an order) may be collected and processed by us and by payment or commerce providers acting on our behalf. We will make this clear at the time.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and privacy settings, control who can message you and how your location is shared, and opt out of promotional messages and notifications in the app’s settings.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and personal information by contacting [email protected].

9. Children

Luv Mahjong is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

The app is operated from India, and your information may be processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
